and ending with [AD 16](https://euemployment.eu/glossary/ad-16/) reserved for Directors
General.

AD 7 is one of the initial grades for [Administrators](https://euemployment.eu/glossary/administrators/)
and is considered an entry [grade](https://euemployment.eu/glossary/grade/), although
the salary of an Administrator AD 7 is higher than for most [Contract Agents](https://euemployment.eu/category/contract-agents-fgi-fgii-fgiii-fgiv/).
