The General Secretariat of the [Council of the European Union](https://euemployment.eu/glossary/council-of-the-european-union/)(
GSC) is hiring an Assistant to Lawyer-Linguists ([Contract Agent](https://euemployment.eu/glossary/contract-agent/),
FG III) in ⌊🇪🇺⌉⌊🇧🇪⌉ Brussels. This is a brilliant opportunity to launch an EU institutional
career while directly contributing to the preparation of Montenegro’s Accession 
Treaty and European legislation.

## What will you be doing?

You will work alongside lawyer-linguists in the Directorate for Quality of Legislation,
formatting draft regulations and performing paralegal research. Your daily work 
will ensure legal and linguistic consistency across [official](https://euemployment.eu/glossary/official/)
legislative acts during key negotiations.

## Competitive net salary and benefits

Starting take-home pay ranges from ~€2,920 for local single staff up to ~€5,120 
per month for expatriates with dependent children, completely exempt from national

to European Schools.

## Who is this for?

Applicants must be nationals of an EU Member State or Montenegro, holding either
a post-secondary diploma or secondary education backed by at least three years of
relevant experience. You need a C2 native level in Montenegrin, strong C1 English,
and good Office software skills.
