AIACE
AIACE is the International Association of Former Staff of the European Union. Allowances
‘Allowances’ are financial payments to employees of EU institutions that are paid on top of the ‘basic salary’, depending on an employee’s personal or professional situation. AMLA
AMLA is the new EU Anti-Money Laundering Authority. It will become operational in 2026 with headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany. A ‘basic salary’ is the same as ‘basic pay’ in EU institutions. The ‘basic salary’ is the amount an employee of an EU institution is entitled to according to the relevant ‘scale of basic salaries’ for Administrators, Assistants, or Contract agents. Any allowances and other entitlements are not counted as part of the basic salary.
