AD 14

Administrators at the European Commission and other EU institutions are placed in grades starting with AD 5 and ending with AD 16 reserved for Directors General.

AD 14 is a top senior management grade within the European Union’s civil service. The AD 14 level is indicative of a high degree of responsibility and leadership within the EU institutions’ hierarchy, often associated with positions such as Directors or Principal Advisers.

In the EU institutions’ hierarchy, AD 14 staff are positioned below the top executive level (AD 16, Directors-General), and they typically report to Deputy Directors-General (AD 15) or Directors-General depending on the organizational structure.
